What to know before you go
Uttarakhand starts at Haridwar for most of our families: the Ganga aarti at Har Ki Pauri, a morning in Rishikesh, and then a choice. Mussoorie and Dehradun for a hill-station week with children; Nainital and Jim Corbett for lakes and a safari; or the Char Dham yatra, which we run as its own programme with helicopter options for elders.
The Delhi–Haridwar leg is by road or the Vande Bharat, and we schedule it so nobody arrives at a hill station after dark. Corbett safari permits are limited per zone per day and are booked at the time of confirmation, like Gir.
The monsoon closes hill roads and the yatra routes. Between July and mid-September we will tell you not to go rather than sell you the dates.
