What to know before you go
The Maldives is the simplest holiday we sell and the one where the choice of resort is everything. There is no sightseeing; you fly to Malé, take a speedboat or seaplane to a single island, and stay. So the questions are which island, water villa or beach villa, and whether the meal plan should be full board — for a vegetarian couple it usually should.
We sort the resorts by what they are honestly good at: a quiet honeymoon, a family with children who want a kids' club and shallow lagoon, or a group who want the snorkelling. Indian passport holders get a free visa on arrival. Flights are from Mumbai or Bengaluru, and we can route via Colombo when the fares make sense.
Seaplane transfers only fly in daylight and are priced separately from the room; that is the line item people miss when comparing quotes, and we show it.
