What to know before you go
Dubai is the shortest international flight from Gujarat that feels like a proper foreign holiday, which is why it works for a family of grandparents, parents and children travelling together. Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall and the fountain for one evening; the desert safari with a dune drive and dinner; a day at the Marina and a dhow cruise; Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed mosque and Ferrari World for a long day out.
We handle the UAE visa ourselves — our visa desk processes it, usually in three to five working days — so the holiday and the paperwork are one conversation. Direct flights run from Ahmedabad daily.
October to April is the season. Summer is 45 degrees and the malls are the only outdoors; we say so, and we price it accordingly for people who can only travel in the school holidays.
