Day by day

6 days, 5 nights. Every day below can move; this is the shape we start from.

Day 1
Chandigarh to Kasol
Drive up the Parvati valley (about eight hours). Check in at a riverside stay in Kasol.
Day 2
Kasol and Manikaran
Manikaran gurudwara and hot springs in the morning, then the walk to Chalal village. Evening by the river.
Day 3
Kheerganga trek (optional)
A full-day trek to Kheerganga for the fit, or a slow day at Tosh village for the rest. Night in Kasol.
Day 4
Kasol to Tirthan valley
Four hours to Tirthan. Trout fishing (catch and release, with permit) or a walk along the river. Night at a homestay in Gushaini or Nagini.
Day 5
Great Himalayan National Park
A day walk into the park buffer zone with a local guide, or the drive up to Jalori pass and Serolsar lake.
Day 6
Tirthan to Chandigarh
Drive down to Chandigarh (eight hours) and transfer to the airport or the overnight train.
