Day 1
Arrive Kochi
Met at the airport and checked in at a hotel in Kochi. Fort Kochi in the evening if everyone is fresh.
Day 2
Kochi to Munnar
A slow drive with stops, arriving by lunch. Afternoon at the hotel; ground-floor rooms requested.
Day 3
Munnar
Tea museum, Mattupetty dam and the flower garden. No trekking.
Day 4
Munnar to Thekkady
Periyar lake boat ride (lower deck) and the elephant camp for the grandchildren.
Day 5
Thekkady to Kumarakom
A resort by Vembanad lake instead of a houseboat night, with a two-hour houseboat cruise in the afternoon and beds on dry land.
Day 6
Kumarakom
A rest day. Ayurvedic massage for those who want it, the bird sanctuary for the early risers.
Day 7
Depart Kochi
Breakfast, check-out, and the ninety-minute private transfer to Kochi airport.
