Day 1
Vadodara to Udaipur
Five hours by road. Afternoon at the City Palace and Jagdish temple, evening boat ride on Lake Pichola for the sunset over the Lake Palace.
Day 2
Udaipur
Saheliyon ki Bari, Fateh Sagar and the Monsoon Palace at sunset. Evening free for the Bagore ki Haveli dance show.
Day 3
Udaipur to Jodhpur via Ranakpur
Ranakpur Jain temple on the way, then the drive to Jodhpur. Evening at the clock tower market.
Day 4
Jodhpur to Jaisalmer
Mehrangarh fort and Jaswant Thada in the morning, then five hours west to Jaisalmer. Sunset at Gadisar lake.
Day 5
Jaisalmer fort and the dunes
Fort, Patwon ki Haveli and the old city, then out to the Sam dunes for a camel ride at sunset, dinner and folk music at the camp. Night in a tent.
Day 6
Jaisalmer to Jodhpur
Kuldhara abandoned village on the way out, then back to Jodhpur for the night.
Day 7
Jodhpur to Vadodara
A long drive home via Mount Abu with a stop at the Dilwara temples, or an onward flight from Jodhpur for those who prefer it.
