Day by day

7 days, 6 nights. Every day below can move; this is the shape we start from.

Day 1
Colombo to Kandy
Met at Colombo airport and driven to Kandy via the Pinnawala elephant orphanage. Evening at the Temple of the Tooth.
Day 2
Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
The botanical garden at Peradeniya, then up through the tea estates with a factory visit. Night in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 3
Train to Ella
The hill train from Nanu Oya to Ella (reserved seats booked at confirmation). Nine Arch Bridge in the afternoon.
Day 4
Ella to Yala
Little Adam’s Peak at sunrise, then the drive to Yala. Afternoon jeep safari for elephants and leopards.
Day 5
Yala to Mirissa
Coast road to Mirissa. Evening on the beach.
Day 6
Mirissa and Galle
Whale-watching boat at dawn (November to April), then Galle fort in the afternoon. Night at Bentota or Mirissa.
Day 7
Depart Colombo
Drive to the airport (two hours on the expressway).
