Day 1
Guwahati to Shillong
Drive up to Shillong (three hours) past Umiam lake. Evening in the city.
Day 2
Shillong to Cherrapunji
Waterfalls at their fullest: Elephant, Nohkalikai, Wei Sawdong. Night at Cherrapunji.
Day 3
Nongriat root bridges
The full-day walk to the double-decker bridge and Rainbow falls with a guide. Night at Cherrapunji.
Day 4
Mawlynnong and Dawki
Mawlynnong village, the living root bridge at Riwai, and Dawki. Night at Shnongpdeng by the river.
Day 5
Krang Suri and back to Shillong
Krang Suri falls in the Jaintia hills, then back to Shillong.
Day 6
Shillong to Guwahati
Drive down to Guwahati (five hours) and transfer to the airport.
